Spring Sushi Japanese Restaurant and My Car prt3

Just got back from Spring Sushi. I met with Day in person for the first time. We basically discussed how he should pay me. He needed an invoice and I didn't have one because I can't afford to pay for this special wash. Eventually after some arguing he gave me the money. I think he understands my situation.

I have to say I never gave Spring Sushi one inch to work with here. If I was weak, I feel I would of been taken advantage of. I also understand that Spring Sushi does not want to be taken advantage of. I guess thats what makes these things hard. The most important thing is to have respect for each other.

Day did get angry yesterday and he apologized for that. Although at points he was disrespectful to me (even toady) we have to remember that he is human. Neither Day or I are perfect or absolutely right or wrong. Day is a leader so, I assume he often tells people what to do. One easy way to get on my bad side is to tell me what to do. That alone can cause problems. Then add painting my car and you have a tough problem to solve. But, we found a solution and I will be getting my car washed on the weekend. Oh and the cleaning should take around 5 hours.

  1. I think that this whole situation could have been avoided. If Mr. Mark did notice that Spring Sushi was in fact completing renovations that does not necessarily mean that he noticed that their were workers painting the building with the 2 minutes it took him to get out of his car and into his destination. I have seen the parking behind Spring Sushi and they should have taped off the whole back sections to block cars off from parking there to account for the wind blowing some of the paint in that direction or from splash back. They did not temporarily block off this parking area while they were painting therefore the owner is 100% responsible for the costs of the repairs regardless if Mr. Mark noticed the painting or not.

I do know that there are some people out there that look for free rides in life and it does not at all sound like Mr. Mark is one of those people. He 100% backed up his claim that his car had paint all over it by taking several pictures of his car with the exact same pink paint that Spring Sushi was using. He did take the proper steps by initially trying to get around a $10 car wash to see if the paint could be removed from the surface. After determining that the paint could not be removed via that method he got a quote of around $400 to buff off the clear coat and remove the pink paint. He backed this up with an estimate and even offered to show the owner the final bill of the repair to ensure that he was not taking extra money from the owner.

Kudos Mr. Mark, you are a stand up guy and I appreciate your strong will to stand up for yourself and get the money that is rightfully yours to fix your car.

To Spring Sushi, I have several businesses and the biggest part of having a business is having satisfied customers, without them you are nothing, you will make no money and go out of business. To be rude to this fine gentlemen when he has proof of damages your painters caused is pathetic. Before even opening your business you are not going to win any customers by being rude to from what I hear is a huge sushi lover that will now probably go to another establishment, do you really blame him? You could have handled this situation a lot better especially when he had proof backing up his claim. Next time you should be more cautious and I hope you can learn from these mistakes in future business endeavors.

To close, “On average a customer will tell three people of excellent service, on the other side they will tell an average of ten people of bad service”

Which side do you want to be on?

    A Friend…….

  2. Congratulations on posting this blog to the Spring Sushi's Google page. Of course we want to read about how much of an idiot you are for parking beside a renovating building.

P.S. Way to stifle the growth independent Hamilton franchises. That's what matters, right?

  3. Thanks to the first comment I'm glad someone agrees. To the second post about me stifling the growth of independent Hamilton franchises. I hardly think $420 is stifling, perhaps it's a bump in the road. Also I didn't choose to have my car painted but the painters did decide to be lazy. The painting was not being done while I was parking and it was finished and dark when I got off work. The parking spot is a good one because it is a low traffic area, with high visibility to prevent theft. I understand that in some way you are affiliated with Spring Sushi. I hope one day you can get over your frustrations and need to put other people down. Mostly I hope you realize the hypocrisy of your comment.

  4. This whole situation is retarded. I don't think Day should have paid you jack.

Why you would park beside a building going under renovations is beyond me.

I hope next time you decide to use some common sense.

  5. If you would just read the comment above the one you left it explains why I parked there. There were no warnings that the place was going to be painted or that my car was to close. Lots of people park in that spot every day. I'm not surprised that this is beyond you though. You clearly don't have the ability to comprehend this situation, seeing that you asked a question that was answered before you asked it.

Oh, I moderate all the comments and that will be the last comment asking why did I park there. It's simply an easy to use, open and commonly used spot. If you want your comment posted try to further the conversation in some way.

Ask a question like; Why did the painters decide to paint the sidewalk and parking lot pink? Perhaps they could of used different tools being conscious of the fact that cars were in the area.

  6. I'm on the spring sushi side. I think that this could"ve all been avoided if mr. Mark didn't park there. He clearly knew they were painting because he was told to maybe move his car by his fellow employees and he said he wouldn't. That's ignorant. its common sense. maybe the way this situation wasn't handled very professionally but I still hope that spring sushi does well.People r relying on jobs today. I've been so excited for them to open.
